Call
Calls are answered seven days a week. If the pool is green or the pump has stopped, calling gets it on the schedule fastest.
If the pump just stopped or the water is dropping
- Turn the pump off at the breaker. A pump running dry or with a seized motor can melt its housing in an hour. Off is safer than on until someone looks.
- Check the water level. If it's below the skimmer mouth, the pump is sucking air. Top it up with a hose so the pool can circulate once the pump is back.
- Look at the timer and the pressure gauge. A tripped timer or a filter pressure far above normal is sometimes the whole problem, and worth mentioning when you call.
